 HOW TO USE COFFE MAKER

1. Add a coffee filter to the filter basket

There are lots of different types of coffee filters to choose from, but you’ll often find them branded as either ‘natural’ or ‘bleached’. While cheaper, generic options might be cheaper in the short-term, they’re less dependable for good results.

Most coffee makers come with their own mesh filter, and this usually the best option because it’s easy to use and you can clean it when you need to.

2. Measure out your coffee

How much coffee you put in the filter depends on how much coffee you want to make. It will also depend on your coffee machine and the type of coffee you’re making, too.

Usually, you’ll need about two tablespoons of coffee for every six ounces of water, but you should check your coffee maker for its perfect ratio. Some speciality blend coffees can have different ratios too, but you can check the back of the package for instructions.

3. Measure out your water

Your coffee pot will have markings on the side to help you measure out how much water you need. To fill it up, there’s usually an opening behind or above the filter.

While it might be tempting to just pour the water through the filter basket, this could cause some problems so just fill it up where it’s meant to go.

4. Plug the coffee maker in

Some machines will start brewing the coffee as soon as you turn it on, while others might need you to press a button to get them going. Some also have a ‘time setting’, so your coffee is ready when you need it.

5. Wait until the coffee has finished brewing before you pour it

We know, it’s tough to watch that pot take forever to fill, but a little patience will be worth it in the end. Some machines do have a ‘pause’ option though, for those times you just need it right away.

6. Throw away the paper filter

If you’re using a paper filter, you should remove it and throw it away as soon as you’ve used it, because leaving coffee grounds in the machine will make your next pot of coffee too bitter.

If you’re using the mesh filter, make sure to throw to used coffee grounds in the bin and give the filter a rinse.

Getting the best coffee

Getting the best coffee

Now that you know how to make the perfect cup of coffee, here’s how to get the best out of your machine every time.

Grinding your coffee

For the very best coffee, instant just won’t do. If you’re looking for a fresh, flavoursome coffee, you should always look to buy whole coffee beans and grind them yourself. You should be careful about how finely you grind your coffee though, as you’ll get different results.

The flavour of coffee comes from within the cells of the coffee bean, and when it’s ground, the exposure to air creates the aroma. The longer it’s left like that, the quicker it will lose its aroma.

You should keep your coffee beans in an air tight container. They have odour-absorbing properties, so if you leave them exposed in the fridge, you might find they start smelling like leftover garlic chicken.

There’s some debate between coffee aficionados about where to keep your coffee though. Some say you should keep them at low temperatures – so you should keep them in the fridge if you want to use them within that week, or in the freezer for any longer. Others will say they’re fine in a cool dark place, so it’s up to you really.

Measure out your coffee

Cleaning your coffee maker

Any machine that uses hot water can accumulate sediment over time, and if left too long this can cause your coffee to have a nasty, rancid taste. You should make sure to give your coffee maker a clean every now and then to make sure nothing unfriendly is stuck in there.

A good sign your coffee machine needs cleaning is if there’s a noticeable odour or residue on the machine, or if you just can’t remember the last time you did it, you should probably set aside some time to get it squeaky clean again.

Hai guys!

Today i will tell you about HOW TO BATHE A CAT

Before you bathe your cat

Get everything you need in one place, so that once you’ve started bathing your cat, everything is within easy reach. You’ll need:

  • 1. A large plastic bucket, sink or bath (lined with a non-slip floor mat) to use as a cat bath.
  • 2. Specialist cat or kitten shampoo. Find a mild all-rounder with no harsh chemicals or perfumes. Never use human shampoo, as it’s unsuitable for cat hair and skin due to the difference in pH levels.
  • 3. A cat conditioner if required. Again, don’t use conditioner for human hair.
  • 4. A towel or two
  • 5. A brush to help remove matts and knots

Bathing your cat

Fill the cat bath with just enough warm (not hot) water to wash your cat and lower your cat gently into the water. Don’t overfill, as this will just make your cat more anxious!

Offer plenty of praise and reassurance throughout. Bathing cats can be tricky, but food treats can make a useful distraction, as can another person holding the cat’s head and providing reassurance.

bathing cats

If your cat is scared, they may try to bite or scratch you. If this happens a lot, stop what you’re doing and consult your vet for advice. They may be able to bathe your cat for you, or recommend an experienced groomer who is good with nervous cats.

Apply a small amount of shampoo and warm water to the contaminated area only. If a full body cat bath is necessary, avoid the head altogether and concentrate on lathering the rest of the body including the tail, underside and neck. You might find it easier for you both if you take your cat out of the water and onto a towel for this part, especially if you’re using medicated shampoo that takes a few minutes to activate.

Don’t put anything inside your cat’s ears to keep them dry – such as cotton wool. Not only could this get stuck, but your cat will get stressed if they cannot hear clearly. It is far better to keep their heads completely dry and if their face also needs a clean, use a damp cloth only, with no shampoo.

When they’re ready to be rinsed, use one hand to operate the shower nozzle or pour a jug of warm, clean water and the other hand to protect their eyes and ears from contamination. Repeat the process if you’re using cat conditioner. It is very important to rinse the shampoo and/or conditioner thoroughly as your cat is likely to lick off any excess water, and you don’t want them to ingest any excess suds! Once you’re happy that they’re fully rinsed, allow your cat to shake off the excess water. Bathing cats is a simple as that!

After your cat’s bath

Generally cats prefer to be towel dried rather than dried with a hair dryer. Unless they’ve been used to a hair dryer from kittenhood, do the best job you can with a towel then leave them in a warm room to dry off naturally. Don’t let them go outside until fully dry, so that they don’t catch a cold.

If you’ve been brave enough to bath more than one cat, or simply have another cat in the household, you might notice some inter-cat conflict after bathing your cat. This will be caused by the change of scent and can be remedied by separating the bathed cats until they’re calm, then rubbing all cats with the same towel to redistribute scents.

COVID-19 : Not all hand sanitizers work againts it - here's what you should use

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, sales of hand sanitizers have soared. Hand sanitizers can protect against disease causing microbes, especially in situations when soap and water aren't available. Not all hand sanitizers are equally effective against corona virus.

There are 2 main types of hand sanitizers : alcohol-based and alcohol free. Alcohol-based hand sanitizers contain varying amounts and types of alcohol, often between 60 percent and 95 percent. Alcohol is known to be able to kill most germs.

Alcohol free hand sanitizers contain usually benzalkonium chloride instead of alcohol. These can reduce microbes but are less effective than alcohol.

INTRODUCING

My name Dyani Khoirunnisa. I'm 17 years old. Now I live in Jakarta. My hobbies are swimming, watching tv, and drawing. Now I'm in 12th grade in high school 27 Jakarta.

I'm very grateful for going up to 12th grade. In this 12th grade, I will have new friends and meet new teachers. I would love to meet my friends and teacher again. Unfortunately because of the covid 19 virus, schools have to be temporarily closed so students must study at home.

Actually studying at home isn't bad, it's just that because it's too long at home, I'm getting a little bit bored. I hope this pandemic ends soon.

Since I'm already in 12th grade, of course there will be new lessons, English is no exception. This time there will be lots of fun material such as making biographies, procedure texts, and others. I really want to start the project immediately.
